Windows 8 News finds you a new employee: Ming Yun-Fat Chow, Manager of Windows 8 User Interface Designs at rumored to be Microsoft.

Apparently Ming is working on the User Interface for Windows 8! Nothing newsworthy you say?  I disagree, his job description says: “deciding on successful feature possibilities by analyzing competing operating systems (MAC and Linux)”

I understand you have to look into your competitor’s products to compete, so far Windows 8 developer leaks have yet to give any indication that they are taking ideas directly from the competitors.

Story followup
Also a little news update on our processor guy: Robert Morgan, Senior Research & Development at rumored to be Microsoft. He has a new update this morning on this LINKEDIN: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/robert-morgan/16/303/aa4

“Robert got called into the office, alarms in the morning are great. Someone didn’t set the test for the new AMD 128bit properly.”

Sounds like Robert and his staff are still having issues with 128bit processors, Will Windows 8 really have 128bit processor support? I think it makes sense, Windows 7 has 32bit / 64bit support, why shouldn’t Windows 8 have 64bit / 128bit support? Then 90% of the Windows 8 users will use 64bit, and 10% will troubleshoot 128bit for Windows 9!!
