Windows 8 Rumors
There are many rumors for Windows 8 features, I’ll post here what has been confirmed.

Possible: ANYTHING
1. Rewrite Windows from Scratch Windows 7 looks a lot like a repackaged version of Windows Vista. It uses a lot of the old source code from previous versions of Windows. It’s slow and bulky compared to Windows XP. Can Microsoft please rebuild the whole thing from scratch so that we no longer have to work with something that was done years ago? This could help in improving the performance and optimize the operating system to work with today’s hardware.
2. Lean Windows Windows 7 is a good step in this direction. But, I still wish that Windows would only give me the minimum that I need to go on the internet and run my hardware. I want the install to be as fast as possible. If I need a certain software, I’ll just download one from the internet. For beginners, there should of course be an option to install standard software, but for advanced users, why bother. Minimize the install time and don’t ship Windows with 2 or 3 DVDs. The best option would be to offer downloads that are fast and small.
3. A Free Windows? I am probably dreaming when I say this, but could Microsoft offer a free Windows? If Microsoft wants to fight Google or Apple, it does not need to come out with revolutionary features for its operating systems. All they need to do is offer a free operating system, and that would kill any Mac O.S. or Google Chrome O.S. in my opinion. Most of the complaints about Windows would probably disappear and the pressure of building the O.S. would be considerably lessen. They could still make money from the corporate users who would require more security features and by selling applications to consumers. For regular consumers, this would be huge. Windows would be all the consumer need to access the internet and run their applications. Microsoft could then really focus on making the O.S. better instead of focusing on profit and money.
