How much say does the development team have on altering the strategy? Can they even have some free thinking on improvements?

We continue to look through blogs, forums, and other anonymous sources of reliable information to find hints and clues to the actual Windows 8 strategy. A few leaks coming out tell stories of employees being overworked and extremely busy. Of course Microsoft isn’t the first company to challenge their employees by pushing their limits.

Windows 8 builds so far seem to focus heavily on Microsoft’s live strategy and excessive idea grabbing from Apple. Obviously we’ll continue to investigate these particular issues. With Windows 8 build milestones getting near, we should see some sensitive strategy information leak out within the next few weeks! We will continue to deliver Windows 8 in the most honest, open, and transparent way we can! Stay Tuned, Windows 8 is not far away!

Microsoft is giving everyone gifts for Windows 8. These gifts are of course pre-installed applications that come with the default install of Windows 8. These are powerful tools that acknowledge & contribute to creativity and insight of Windows 8 users. The default tools within the Windows 8 install will be basic, but offer upgrades using micro payments to give you added bonuses and features.

Probably additional add-on third party tools can also be downloaded from a marketplace. I foresee anyone designing applications for Windows 8 will submit their projects to this Windows 8 3rd party marketplace. Will this be gladly accepted? We think so. Windows 8 will offer the community videos to learn these new tools, inspire you to create powerful projects! The true gift of Windows 8 is helping you learn, making you an artist!

Hopefully this dream doesn’t get destroyed and we end up with a smaller less innovative push into the future with Windows 8.

What makes Windows 8 worth talking about? It touches us all and we fear the unknowns of what Windows 8 will change! Will it make us faster and more flexible? Will it be hard to learn? Can I use Windows 8 for entertainment? Will it change my life by removing everyday tasks?

All these questions we are looking to answer for Windows 8, like a TV episode of Lost! We are dying for some Windows 8 answers! The best response we can offer right now is Microsoft takes moves very slowly on designing something new. They come up with great ideas and hold off on implementing those ideas, I’d assume the same will be done with Windows 8. Security gets improved, the graphical user interface changes a little bit, just enough that you love the new packaging and want to buy it! Windows 8 will be Windows 7 with a patch.

What else is worth talking about Windows 8? The design process! The thoughts behind the architecture! Do they think like the end users or the developer? Will Windows 8 be worth its weight in gold? What justifies the increase in prices?

Basically we are all looking to be impressed with Windows 8 in our own form. We want overkill for everything! Good luck Microsoft, we’ll help you with ideas.

How do you judge success? What are you judging the success of Windows 8 on? I often hear: Ease of usage, fewer clicks, better software or cooler games. Almost everything lies on the graphical interface and software that works well with the operating system. Lately, you have the average user who wants it to just function, and the developer who wants freedom to develop. What will Windows 8 provide?

Apple impresses users by bundling their own applications into the operating system. iMail, iChat, iDVD, iMovie, iSync, Address Book, iTunes, Safari, etc. Microsoft offers similar bundled software, but it’s not as apparent (Calculator, Notepad, Wordpad, Movie Maker, Outlook Express, IE, etc)! Microsoft wants 3rd party applications to run on their operating systems, but that causes conflicts with the intended functionality. I see more and more successful 3rd parties developing for the Mac environment.

What are we judging Windows 8 on? We’d suggest creativity, educating the user, and pushing business innovation to a new level. This cannot be done on the same structure of pervious products with the same looks and feelings.

Microsoft operating system business has been declining in the United States lately. This is a fact for the foreseeable future and will probably continue long-term unless Windows 8 surprises us all! Eventually, this will change the way companies do business. How can you succeed? If you want our advice, invest in training! Education always has been a way to leap ahead in life and it will continue to be the shortest path to success.

As change happens, so does the next generation of workers! Spend time developing these new skills, master them, always be one step ahead of the pack! Don’t wait for things to get better on their own. Don’t wait to fight uphill! Build up your momentum now and you’ll win the race! Ultimately, don’t wait for Microsoft to win or lose and then decide how to react. React now! Get ready! Success today is no guarantee of success tomorrow. Don’t let tomorrow get here before your ready!

Why did you make the choice to switch to Windows 7? Did you look at other options? Was it more of a reaction due to the few other easy options? Did you go with what you saw others were doing or the only option your computer provider gave you? Did your experiences of Microsoft’s previous operating systems gave you a perception that the new one would be just as great!

So my original question: Did you look at other options?

If you answered “Yes” to you like Windows 7, ask yourself why, are you being biased? and if your still happy continue using it. Most of us here at Windows 8 News uses Windows 7, nothing wrong with that! If you answered “Kinda” under the circumstances, did you look at your other options? Do you have family or friend with Apple or Linux? Ask them to show you why they like it. If you answered “No” we hope you have tried other options by now or you already switched.

Know your options! Ask the questions! Use whatever makes you productive and happy! Think of it like buying a house or car. Do some comparing between the brands!

Computers were scarce when Microsoft gained a sustainable advantage in the operating system environments. Now that home computers are abundant, we will see a shift from a Microsoft dominate operating system market into a balance between operating systems. We think Windows 8 will be the operating system that shares in the decline of this hold Microsoft has. Competition is right around the corner…

Why develop an operating system? We think they control the user’s attention towards selling things indirectly. Apple LOVES you going to iTunes! So, what will this soap opera of controlling users bring? The revenue generated by these operating systems and the control over the users shows the motivation individual companies can generate to come up with solutions to niche operating system markets. The developers are slowly rolling away from Microsoft branded operating systems.

How can Microsoft keep its dominance? Scarcity by increasing prices or locking in to Microsoft branded hardware, Apple style. The crossroads won’t be easy; it will cost a lot of money! This is quite normal for the majority phase of the operating system market. It will be only a matter of time before you may consider using a Chinese made operating system.

It is estimated that there will be more than two billion PCs in use by 2015.* Imagine that environmental impact if 75% of these computers use Microsoft’s Windows 8. If designed even slightly more power hungry then they could be what waste would that create?

Should Microsoft spend more time researching better options for little things? I could point out any major company with a global product, but Windows 8 will be my example, since this is a Windows 8 blog.

We all are for being green and protecting the world. Not many of us acknowledge or are even willing to acknowledge basic things we do and use every day are adding to the possible global problems. Microsoft isn’t solely to blame, even you reading this blog are not only wasting time but also using resources contributing to green house gases. Does that make you and I evil?

Windows 8 and other products that have mass influence need to be created properly or weight the impact! Same with oil and gas, everyone uses it freely without much thought. The consequences of our actions, our neighbors’ actions, and corporations such as Microsoft’s actions designing Windows 8 will come more visible as the effect of these actions do more damage. We do not have an answer for these complex problems, but I hope we keep thinking of a solution.

I picked on Microsoft and Windows 8, but honestly, you could replace that with any major product. Ask yourself, how do we measure if Windows 8 was designed properly? If we can’t, should we try?

Windows 8 planning stage will make the difference between good and great, yet they let few know how they structure the process! Tell the people what they should hear: that Microsoft is working hard and remains much focused on the task! If the management team takes the time, turns off the electronics, and just gets together and thinks I think they could change the world with Windows 8, like Windows 95 did.

With the slow economy and fights at all costs to be more frugal definitely doesn’t help evolve new ideas, just improve efficiency. Does the Windows 8 meditate on new ideas, push away the pains of corporate reality and just ignore everyone not on the team? We are time-starved, competitive, and the distractions within the workplace are great challenges. How does Microsoft go about isolating the Windows 8 decision makers? I can only imagine that the politics are amazing.

When it becomes a job you lose those great dreams! Microsoft employees need to build Windows 8 with their heart, not their expectation of a paycheck, to move up in the company, or fight corporate politics. The creative process for Windows 8 comes down to maintaining this culture, how they structure the planning dialogue. I don’t claim have answers, but I really hope they know the impact of a few key employees on how the world works. Let’s see some tactical moves, something that matters! Windows 8 Leadership needs to influence the world and make a difference! Give the world something it didn’t know it was missing! It takes time to be Great, you had enough time being good, surprise us Microsoft!
